The Spirit XT185 is a durable treadmill that has minimal features and low specs. The motor used has 2.5 horsepower and is capable of sustaining a moderate jog. It may not be quite enough for those planning to long amounts of running, but it does a good job for anything under that. Some of the other specs are a bit disappointing though. The tread belt length is too short, measuring 20″ x 50″. The deck cushioning fares well and makes jogging pretty comfortable. The incline only goes up to 10%, the max speed is 10 mph, and the weight capacity is 275 lbs. The console has a 7.5” Blue Backlit LCD that shows the readouts of Time, Distance, Speed, Elevation, Calories, Pace, Altitude, Laps, Segment Time, and Heart Rate. There are 6 workout programs that you can cycle through and use. The warranty for this model is great. It covers frame, motor, and deck for lifetime, the parts for 5 years, and labor for a year. Although there are some nice things going on for the XT185, you can still can find better options that have better specs and features. NordicTrack and ProForm both have a number of models that are much cheaper, have better specs, and offer iFit Live/Android powered browser.
